Experienced Import Freight Forwarder
As an experienced import forwarder, you ensure that incoming shipments are handled to perfection. You work closely with shipping lines, customs authorities and customers, keep a sharp eye on deadlines and prevent unexpected issues. Down-to-earth, precise and always proactive — that is TOP.

Your role within TOP
As an experienced import forwarder, you are responsible for the complete handling of import shipments. From booking containers to preparing the correct documentation and coordinating transport to the customer — you take care of it. You liaise with our own customs department, monitor deadlines and proactively keep customers informed.
At TOP, you will work with a team of import professionals, export colleagues and customs specialists on the first floor of our Rotterdam office. We value short lines of communication, a strong Rotterdam mentality and enjoying our work together.
What do we ask of an experienced import forwarder?
You are a colleague who thinks in solutions. You stay calm when things get hectic and switch effortlessly between systems and people. Furthermore, we ask:
- Experience as an import freight forwarder
- Knowledge of sea freight and customs documents
- Good command of the Dutch and English languages
- An accurate and customer-oriented work attitude

Your working day as an experienced export forwarder
At 08:30 you start the day with a cup of coffee and a short stand-up with the team.

- Check incoming documents accurately
- Plans deliveries to customers
- Coordinate with customs department
- Communicate clearly with shipping companies
- Manage files from A-Z
- Follow up on shipments proactively
- Identify bottlenecks in processes
