Experienced Export Freight Forwarder
As an experienced export forwarder, you are the link between the customer, the shipping line and the final destination. You arrange transport worldwide, maintain oversight, respond quickly and ensure that everything runs smoothly. Independent, knowledgeable and always solution-oriented — that is TOP.
An experienced export freight forwarder at TOP is more than just a planner or controller. You are the hub of international shipments. Your role within TOP
As an experienced export forwarder, you are responsible for the complete handling of export shipments. From booking containers to preparing the correct documentation and coordinating transport to the port — you take care of it. You liaise with our own customs department, monitor deadlines and proactively keep customers informed.
At TOP, you work with a team of export professionals, import colleagues and our customs experts on the first floor of our Rotterdam office. We value short lines of communication, a strong Rotterdam mentality and the enjoyment we share in our work.
What do we ask of an experienced export forwarder?
You are a colleague who thinks in solutions. You remain calm when things get hectic and switch effortlessly between systems and people.
In addition, we ask for:
- At least 3 years of experience as an export forwarder
- Knowledge of sea freight and customs documentation
- A good command of the Dutch and English languages
- An accurate and customer-oriented attitude

Your working day as an experienced export forwarder
At 08:30 you start the day with a cup of coffee and a short stand-up with the team.
You notice that a shipment to Singapore has become urgent, so you immediately contact the shipping line. Afterwards, you call a customer who has questions about a Bill of Lading. Meanwhile, you update the planning, process data in the system and send invoices to customers.
At 17:00 you close your laptop with satisfaction: everything is on track, customers are happy and your colleagues are too.
