Comments, forms and uploads

When leaving comments on www.top.nl, we collect the data shown in the comment form, the visitor's IP address and the browser user agent, to support spam detection. Visitor comments may be checked by an automated spam detection service.

Registered users who upload images should avoid including EXIF GPS data: visitors to the website can extract this location information from images.

Cookies and embedded content

Your rights and retention periods

Data necessary for legal or administrative purposes is excluded from erasure. Account data and comments are retained for as long as they are relevant.

When registering on our site, we store personal information securely in the user profile; you can edit or delete this data at any time. If a user resets their password, the IP address is included in the confirmation email.

If you disagree with how we handle your data, we would like to hear from you first at top@top.nl. In addition, you always have the right to lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority — in the Netherlands, the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens (Dutch Data Protection Authority).
